About this camp
The atmosphere at Schodack is best described in our camp motto: warmth, tradition, spirit. We pride ourselves on hiring caring and enthusiastic counselors who love working with children. With 285 campers and 200 staff—an incredible ratio—you will become an integral part of the campers’ lives, sharing encouragement, hugs and cheers on a daily basis.
Most of our staff are either college students from the US, Great Britain and Australia – or graduates of Camp Schodack’s Leadership Training Program. Our support staff come from Czech Republic, Hungary and Poland.
Our support staff are all paid hourly – complete details will be available to you at the fairs!
Our Support Staff season has two end dates – August 17 – and then some will stay until as late as September 7th. Please tell us at the fairs which availability you have. In addition, we may have some availability starting early in June; please apply at the fairs

Further Information
How far is the nearest town to camp and what transport options are available for? Is there a cost for transport?
Camp provides transport 3 nights per week which are not days off. Albany is 15 minutes. On days off we provide help with transport as much as possible. Staff are able to catch rides on Camper Trip Days.
What do Support Staff do in their free time at camp?
Sports, wifi, brand new gym and staff lounge. Swim, tennis. Staff Recreation Program.

Do you offer the possibility of post-camp work? If yes, for how long?
Yes – as late as Sept 7 – but exact dates and how many needed will only be known in the spring.
