This is a paid Intern/Training program. The participant will be paid $13.96 per hour.
This program is open to all persons who meet the eligibility requirements. Participants will receive on-the-job training in all facets of their selected area of interest and qualification. Additional training may be provided in supervisory skills, customer service skills, and English language skills. Placement depends upon the qualifications of the applicant and departmental needs. Trainees and interns will be evaluated throughout the program. Those who complete the program will receive a Certificate of Completion issued by the YMCA of the Rockies and a Letter of Recommendation to prospective employers.
Training Period
All internship/training programs are for 12 months starting April 1st, each year.
Uniform
Staff shirts are provided, participants need to arrive with black pants and black shoes.
Housing & Meals
Housing is dormitory style. We offer room and board for $200.00 per week.
Transport
5-10 minutes walking distance.
Perks
Free/discounted access to most YMCA facilities (skiing, snowshoeing, climbing, hiking, biking, and horseback riding). A share of the Appreciation Fund (tips) is given by our guests is distributed every pay period. Monthly staff activities.
